Mistresses Don\'t Tell

Meet me
in a soft room laced in infidelity
full of absence mixed with mystery
absynthe and invisibility

Unlace me and
uncover sugared coils
untie me and
release me from this satin cage
then touch me
slowly
arouse me, gently
with fingertips
and hands as hard and patient as the dead

Push me into nimble lips that
could coax a kiss from Adam\'s Eve
Kisses often cruel as knives
slipped the ribs of sleeping brides

Bend me into and
around you and
breathe into an
opened mouth
fit for frightful screaming
Leave the gift of blooming bruises on my lips

Seduce the body
with kisses and cream
lay me down
secure my wings
and pluck my bloody feathers one by one

Now close my eyes against
the blood and sex
brought to bear against
my thighs and chest
bent and made
to make me scream
and kill the victim of our greed

Then take the corpse and lay her down
with me, funereal
my touch upon her bleeds
into her mourning cunt I lay my lips
and feast upon the fruit of discontent
Something I stole from ~fauxgravity. Spent a lot of time critiquing it to find she hadn't spent a lot of time writing it. So I spent more time remaking it. Because I wanted to find the bones beneath the skin. And then she said I could post it, which I am. But really all I did was pull out the themes already inlaid into the original poem. I stole the screenshot too, because any picture of me like that wouldn't have done the poem justice. And it's raining, which is rare for southern California, and beautiful.
