beats of your belly chimed like iron.

spitting through a dank fissure
clenched to ranks of tracks.
inside, hanging people shudder
swaying together, knocked
like stones in a tumbler;
old arthritic bones
cracking and twisting
a cold metal body.

Last stanza's the best. At least, it's my favourite *shrug*. *wonders why she just spelt "favourite" the British way* Is the word "the" supposed to be hanging out at the end of second stanza line 3? Anyway...I think the third stanza says what you really seem to be saying...and doesn't necessarily need the other two before it.
